In 2008 Nance was commissioned to design 26 ‘art benches’ for a new park promenade along the SanDiego bayfront, adjacent to the convention center. Nance produced 13 original designs, each of which was fabricated, once in its original form and once as a ‘mirror image’, in plasma-cut powder-coated steel.
